  • Alana Jordan

I've been painting ever since I could pick up a brush. I mainly work with acrylics, creating abstract, landscape, and portrait paintings, and I am currently experimenting with making custom frames. I aim for freedom and fluidity, employing intentional color combinations, shapes, and texture that lead the eye throughout the entire composition. For paintings look at www.studioalana.com

  • Edna Acri

Since retiring from Education in 2003, I have enjoyed my new career as an artist. Working primarily in watercolor, I have rekindled my love of drawing and painting. I love the “feel” of watercolor and the effect of water and pigment blending and washing over a crisp, white surface of paper. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects and use many of my own photographs as ideas for painting. The creative process of developing a painting from the preliminary sketches to its final creation is truly pleasurable work!

  • Tom Ayers

I started watercolor painting in 2007 after retirment from architecture focusing on landscapes and cityscape's. I find watercolor an exciting and unpredictable medium that provides an adventure with each and every painting as colors mix on the paper. I have recently started plein air painting to further develop my skills in observing natures wonderful scenes.

I have been doing photography B&W and color in my darkroom for almost 70 years. Ten years ago I changed to digital. This has allowed me to continue photography and also combine it with art.

I have been painting watercolors since taking a class from Joyce Faulknor in 2001. My favorite subjects are flowers and still lifes, and my current project is documenting the garden my Mother has tended for over 50 years. This painting is of my Mother's camelia tree, which is as old as her house and almost as tall. For paintings look at www.ninamillarwatercolors.com

I love the human face and the faces of our furry companions, as each one tells a unique story. I work primarily by commission. • Marilyn Travis

I have been painting in watercolors for many years, especially since I retired a few years ago. I do mostly florals and landscapes from my own photographs and have been trying different types of papers and recently painted a floral on a small piece of white marble. In each painting I include something I'm learning more about - rocks under water, reflections, negative painting, colorful shadows. For paintings look at www.lmvisualart.com
